Due to recent events on this forum, we have now imposed a zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. All reports will be treated seriously, and will lead to a permanent ban of both membership and IP address.
Any member blatantly corresponding in a deliberate and provoking manner will be removed from the forum as quickly as possible after the event.

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.

Troops transferred to H.M.S. "Tamar"." | Hi Ulundi . I did find a breakdown in ' Narrative Of The Field Operations Connected With The Zulu War Of 1879 ' These ships posted by John transported 418 Officers , 9,996 Men , 1,868 Horses and 238 Wagons and other Carriages . Cheers 90th |

| Hi All . There is a further breakdown of the troops per ship , sent to Sth Africa regarding John's post . The ' Narrative of the zulu war ' gives you the number of troops and officers that were on each ship and when they left and arrived etc etc . If anyone has the book and can scan it onto the forum that would be excellent . Sorry , I have no idea ! . Cheers 90th. |

| Hi John . Yes thats the one , I did post the total numbers in my earlier post and you have done as per the bottom of the sheet . Unfortunately as you said its to large to scan properly , so therefore we dont have the exact troop number per ship . Possibly Admin may have an idea on how to post it in a reduced format ? .
