| Impi according to my immediate post above your current offering , Wood saw no action , but took part in the war according to Mack & Shad . I think your post should say '' He took part in the zulu war '' , not , '' He fought in the zulu war '' are they your words or from the summary ? . A minor difference I know , but one that needs to be more detailed if you understand what I mean . In case you arent aware '' Mack & Shad '' has the service records of all imperial officers throughout the AZW , basically it tells you where they served etc . Photographs and a detailed Biography of all the officers who died during the war . You may find it interesting reading ? , it can be purchased for around 30 Quid on a good day !. 90th
