Sergeant George Rowland Edwards, Lonsdale's Horse

George Rowland Edwards, son of Major (or in one reference Colonel) George-Rowland Edwards Esquire, formerly an officer in the East India Company, of Ness Strange, Co. Salop. Born 18th February 1852.

Served as a Sergeant in Lonsdale's Horse during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.

John that first photo has a strong resemblance to the young Smith Dorrien, its the nose line I think.
