Different Zulu War Medal

I have never come across this medal before, so I thought I would post it for everyone to see and see if anyone has any information about it?
It is held in the Slough Museum and photograph are copyright to the Museum.

1879Graves. I have been asked to pass on this information. Its from a well known Zulu War Historian.

"The story goes that the medal was given away by King Cetshwayo kaMpande to his favoured visitors whilst he was interned at Cape Castle.It was a cheap little piece made from tin or pewter. "
