Regimental numbers

Im trying to identify a KIA from iSandlwana, Artilleryman 282.

I can’t find an exact match to those numbers.

Those ending in 82 who were killed in action at iSandlwana were:
1882 Acting Bombardier James Aylett.
1082 Gunner John Connelly.
2182 Gunner William Roscoe. (Appears in Medal Roll incorrectly as 2183.)
3482 Gunner Joseph Smythe.

There was a report of an artillerymans body found on the trail with 282 written on his trousers. My minds leading me to Roscoe
