Zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. |

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.

Just out of interest I actually returned some of Frank Colenso’s non-Zulu War papers to a representative of the Colenso family.
Given current events it is interesting to note that a relative of Bishop John William Colenso - once deemed a Heretic by the Anglican Church - will be conducting the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen.

| Hi All, Francis Ernest Colenso Baptised 9 May 1852 Foncett St Michael Norfolk, son of Bishop John Colenso, married Sophia Jeanetta Frankland Dec Qtr 1880 Kensington London. The 1901 census 21 Cavendish Rd West, St John's Wood, London, M to Sophia b.1856 Manchester, 4 Children 1884-1890, He is a Barrister. His Probate gives the Cavendish Rd and 'Elangeni' Amesham Bucks as addresses and he dies at Elangeni 30 June 1910. He was then cremated at Golders Green. Whilst looking for Ernest i came across two memorials to his father the Bishop of Natal during the Zulu War. I have never seen these before they are in the Church at Foncett St Michael Norfolk, and appear on the findagrave website. Rai Keynshamlighthorse. |

| Hi Again Just a note to add, Elangeni Middle School Amersham was built on the site of the old house in 1973, celebrating 50 years this year, very good article on the Colenso Family if you type in Elangeni as a search. Rai KLH. |
