Natal Witness Saturday 4th January 1879
We regret to hear the sudden death yesterday afternoon of Mrs Morgan, wife of Quartermaster Morgan of "The Buffs"
She is to be interred today.

Kate that's an interesting Tidbit , hopefully there are more details , possibly a cause of death mentioned in the
Funeral / Burial Notice ?

Hi All,
Cannot find his first wife a few possibiles but will not commit myself, probably died in South Africa. I have a reference that he was in the 86th as Col Sgt, William George Morgan born 1835 Bristol, to pension 18 March 1882, 2nd Marriage to Eleanor Dec Qtr 1883 in Chelsea, he died 8 Nov 1890 and was buried on 12 Nov 1890 in St Mary's Kingston Cemetery Portsmouth Newmans[Normans] Plot, 1st Row, Grave 19 consecrated. His address was Gladys Avenue Portsmouth.
