Zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. |

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

| Major. Brunker, H.M.E. 26th Foo t. Served with Frontier Light Horse under Col. Buller in Wood’s Column, from date of crossing the Blood River till end o f March. Present at action of Zungwini Nek, at the action of the Hlobane, and other minor affairs. Was appointed D.A.Q.M.G. on lines of communications at Durban to land reinforcements from England . Accompanied expedition in June to land stores, &c. on the Zulu coast at Port Durnford. (Brevet of Major.)

| Lt.Colonel H. M. E. Brunker served as Adjutant with the 26th Cameronians in the Abyssinian campaign in 1868 (Medal). Proceeded on special service to South Africa in 187S, and served as Staff Officer in the field force of Griqua Land West (mentioned m despatches). Served in the Zulu war of 1879, first with the Frontier Light Horse of Wood's Column, and afterwards on the Staff of Line of Communications and Base (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Major, Medal with Clasp). Went to South Africa on special service in January 1881, and served under Sir Evelvn Wood in the Boer war as Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quarter Master General. |
