I Was Browsing Though The book "Zulu": With Some Guts Behind It, The Making of the Epic Movie by "Sheldon Hall"

And came across the death of Sgt Maxfield. Now I have watch Zulu quite a few times.
Now correct me if I’m wrong. In the book it says Three Zulus were stabbing Sgt Maxfield quivering body on the bed.

Now I don’t remember seeing that. What I saw was Hooky fighting off the Zulus while Sgt Maxfield was on the floor shouting “That’s my boy Hooky” where upon a Zulu was about to stab him when the roof cave in killing both Maxfield and the Zulu.

If you look at S.D’s Still shot in the Zulu Film discussion forum, it clarifies what I saw.

Or is there another version of Zulu.

I have not read the book you mention. But I do believe you are correct.
I not busy this weekend so I will have a look to make certain.
