| Hi All This is on a well known auction site at the moment. Officer in staff uniform wearing order and 3 campaign medals. Including CB and possibly South Africa medal (Zulu War). Complete with typewritten notes detailing the officers medals and dress and making a tentative identification as Sir William Penn Symons (although someone has written "dont think so" in ink to notes). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Has anyone got any ideas as to who he may be? This is one of Penn Symons [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Smith Dorean had an extended jaw line, the photo in the John Young collection shows that very well. Also published in the Lock and Quantrill book, 'Zulu Victory'.

| It is Charles Tucker, who commanded the 80th Regiment during the Anglo-Zulu War.
