We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.

| "Sir Lionel McMahon (1856-1926), 4th and last Baronet, was a Lieutenant in the 58th Regiment; fought in the Zulu War in 1879; was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practice as a barrister; was a Deputy Lieutenant of County Tyrone; and High Sheriff of County Tyrone in 1914. On his death, his baronetcy became extinct." Sir Lionel McMahon, 4th Bt. was born on 30th June 1856.He was the son of Sir Beresford Burston McMahon, 2nd Bt. and Maria Catherine Bateson. He married Anne Cecilia Austin-Cooke on 29 August 1888. He died on 20 February 1926 at age 69, without issue. |

| Lt's McMahon & O'Donel took part with the regt in the advance of Newdigate's Divis on Ulundi ; and remained on detachment at Fort Evelyn from the date of it's construction in June until the conclusion of the war . ( from Mac & Shad ) 90th |
