| Does anyone know of any DVDs available on the subject, other than the list below? I suppose we should include VCRs if it hasn't been coverted yet. Isn't there something available on the film that was made in the early 1900's? I ddon't remember the name.
• Zulu • Zulu Dawn • The Zulu Wars 1879 • Campaigns in History – Rorke’s Drift • Zulu Wars (Trilogy) • Zulu Wars – The Washing of the Spears • Zulu Wars – The Road to Isandlwana • Zulu Wars – Twilight of the Zulus • Shaka Zulu (4 DVDs, 10 part series)

| Colonel Johannes Wilhelm Colenbrander, an esteemed veteran of the Zulu, Matabele and Anglo-Boer Wars, drowned on the set of African Film Productions’ epic film, ‘The Symbol of Sacrifice’. The incident also claimed the lives of Joseph Ralph Levy and William Brown, who had just returned from fighting in the World War.

| Elizabeth HOGAN,
But is it available on dvd, apart from the excerpts that appear in Ron Lock & Peter Quantrill's 'Isandlwana: Zulu Battlefield'?
Diancast,
There's another one for the list.
The BBC did a episode in their 'Timewatch' series entitled 'Zulu - the true story'. The same company were also responsible for Kenneth Griffith's 'Black as hell, thick as grass!' and John Julius Norwich's 'Death of the Prince Imperial both aired in 1979. It might be worth you while contacting them.

| Thanks very much - I will do more digging. Apparantly the 1918 film "Symbol of Sacrifice" is no longer available on the Royal Regt of Wales website. |

| Petty Officer Tom,
Actually it is a fiendish German plot to do away with the Prince, bear in mind the year of the film's production.
