As you know I’m soaking up the sunbeams in Cornwall. I will be visiting Chards grave on my way back to Kent. In the mean time does anyone know of any other Zulu war graves in Cornwall. I’m staying in the
St Ives area. Any help would be appreciated.

Paid a visit to St Winnow’s. to see the memorial window dedicated to Melvill and Coghill. A wonderful quite solitary place. The grave yard is being looked after, but it looks a lot of work for one man, who was happily working away with his mower.

As well as the window and brass plaque, there is an array of interesting photos, and a written account of their actions. I’m certainly glad that I paid a visit. St Winnow was about 22 Miles from where I’m staying.

I know this is very late, but when you are next in Cornwall, there is plenty for you to have a look at. Apart from Melvill, I can think of another 7. This little lot will have you running all over Cornwall.
