Uniform brown in NMP

Hello

That I read the black uniforms of the NMP WAS Unable to withstand the rigor of field use, and There are SEVERAL references to the uniform fading to brown.

What shade of brown?

At Isandhlwana and Rorke's Drift, This Was Already the box Because THEY HAD Their uniforms for a long time, I Believe?

And this WAS defect limited to the jacket gold jacket and pantallon?

How is it that a site of military history, there have so little interested in military uniforms matters? scratch

Hi Pascal .
Many of your questions can never be answered for the simple fact that no one knows !. To ask what shade of brown is the same as asking how many fish in the sea !. It will never be answered in detail , I would think there were a few different shades of brown depending on their age and how the troops treated their individual uniforms in regard to wear and tear .

will have to be careful ... it could be gray or black mixed with brown or gray or black covered with brown or beige?
