Hi 90th Was there not a follow up to this book called 'Isandlwana 1879 re-examining the sources', or words to that effect? I seem to recall mention of it on one of the threads on the forum. Hope your keeping well mate. Martin.

Hi all Which book came first, was It 'Hill of the Sphinx' or 'Isandlwana 1879'? And are they both worth having, or just the latest updated one? Martin.

Hi Martin. Thanks mate , all is well and hope likewise with you . I have both and for those prices you may as well do so as well ! . . Tasker . . I did tell Pascal that after he said '' No Thanks '' to the medal I posted from ebay , I'm sure he thinks I was selling all the items !.  . Hope all is well with you also . Littlehand . Price isnt always everything , I've seen books on the zulu war for 20 Quid and much more which are readily available for much less , or arent worth the paper they are printed on , if you get my drift . Jackson's books are truly great value as he uses source evidence and tells you from where it came , you cant beat that to my way of thinking . cheers 90th.

Hi all,
I have bought to the Welsh museum the two books of FWD JACKSON; "Hill of the Sphinx" is for me the best book on the battle of Isandlwana JACKSON is a meticulous historian as Mister Julian WHYBRA (plenty footnotes / primaries sources). I know that Mister WHYBRA enjoys JACKSON's books . In french "une référence"!!!!
Cheers.

Hi 90th Thanks for the advice mate, and yes thank you, all ok here (so far). I will have to see about getting these books, tasker gave me a link for the sources re-examined, and it looks like the rrw museum also has the Hill of the Sphinx on offer, so well worth buying at these prices. Cheers mate. Martin.
