Zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. |
Due to recent events on this forum, we have now imposed a zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. All reports will be treated seriously, and will lead to a permanent ban of both membership and IP address.
Any member blatantly corresponding in a deliberate and provoking manner will be removed from the forum as quickly as possible after the event.
If any members are being harassed behind the scenes PM facility by any member/s here at 1879zuluwar.com please do not hesitate to forward the offending text.
We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.
The above applies to the main frame areas of the forum.

| As far as I'm aware Sir Ian Hamilton wasn't in the Zulu War , but was wounded and Captured at Majuba !? 90th |

| No Sir Ian Hamilton not in the Zulu War.
Second Anglo Afghan war First Boer war - Wounded at Majuba. Mahdist war. North West frontier. Second Boer war. Russo - Japanese war. First World war. Gollipoli campaign.
Twice recommended for the VC, first being deemed to young, the second deemed to be to senior. |

| Hi All Thomas Colwill attested 20 April 1878 age 19 born 1859 Oldworthy Clovelly Devon, to 58th No.1876 to S Africa S.S. Russia 26 Feb 1879, Natal 4 April 1879, Transvaal 23 Aug 80 in Hospital again 2 Sept 80, PMBurg 20 Dec 1881, in Hospital 6 July 82 and 30 April 83, Cape Town 13 Dec 1883, left Africa 1 Nov 1885. Married Elizabeth Rowe 4 Dec 1887 in Hartland Devon. Discharged 21 April 1890 12 yrs. Died 1950 and was buried in Hartland Methodist Cemetery Devon aged 91. Rai Keynshamlighthorse For those interested Ian Hamilton died 12 Oct 1947 in London and was buried in Kilmadock Cemetery, Doune, Stirling, Scotland Ref B4, grave 245. He appears on the Findagrave website. |
