One for 1879Graves.

Battle of Isandhlwana Officer’s Casualty Medal.“1879” awarded to “Lieut: Black. 1st Nat Nat Contgt.

Lieutenant Norman David Black of the 1st Battalion 1st Regiment of the Natal Native Contingent, is confirmed as being one of the 600 Officers and Men of the Regiment present at the Battle of Isandhlwana. An English Officer, his family lived in Lymm in Cheshire, and his name is commemorated on a family Grave Stone in Lymm Churchyard.

Quickest one yet. Shocked Is this going in the Pictorial catalogue of AZW graves. They spelled Isandlwana. (Isandhlwana)
