Clark, S.Y. Served with the Regiment. In the campaign until the end of June. Was present at the cavalry affair At eZungeni. Commanded a wing of the Lancers and a troop of the K.D.Gs. attached to the Flying Column. Captain. Duke, J.C. Served with the Regiment. Throughout its operations in the campaign, and were present at the Battle of Ulundi. Capt. Alexander succeeded Capt. Clark in command of the squadron employed on the line of Communications between Fort Marshall and Ulundi. Capts. Wood, Neeld, Jenkins, Purvis, Herbert, Fortescue, Anstruther-Thomson, and Butler were present At the battle of Ulundi, Lieut. Neeld acting as Orderly Officer to Col. Lowe, and Lieut. Jenkins as Adjt. o f the Regiment. The latter was severely wounded in the engagement. Lieut. Purvis served as Transport Officer during the war; Lieut. Steele, H. Fortescue, and St. Quintin on the line of communication ns to Ulundi. The latter officer was Also present at the cavalry affair at eZungeni. Paymaster. Brown, J. Capt. Bro wn proceeded with the Regiment. to South Africa, and was employed at Pietermaritzburg during the campaign.
