| Hi All 1879graves - Your Lancer is coming on a treat, I will hold it in my display cabinet for safe keeping (the wife said it can have pride of place). You would not want it getting damaged in transit. John - I think I will dedicate this to my display cabinet for a while, I am humbled that you think it is good enough for a place in a museum. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Martin - Thanks for the compliment. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] If "this means war" you just try and get this away from the missus and you'll know your in a battle [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] 90th - Thanks for the compliment. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The next project is going to be another mounted one and I think, I want to do Bullers rescue of D'Arcy, based on the image below. Buller may be wearing a slouch hat and Norfolk jacket in my version!. I do have plans to do an artillery battery sergeant as some point. All together I have between 30 to 40 projects in mind. Besides the Lancer I have another 3 figures work in progress at the minute. Pascal - I want to do some of the personalities, but my primary task will be to build models of the other regiments and Colonial volunteers both mounted and on foot. I think a naval figure would be a nice addition and something generally over looked other than war gaming size. Talking about war gaming........ When are we going to see you post some of your models on here??? I must say I had a good chuckle to myself and rattled my sore rib when I saw my Lancer going to so many good homes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Some great banter [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] cheers Richie [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Hi Riche Just had a great idea mate. You could keep MY 24th foot (2nd Warwickshire) regiment figure in your display cabinet for safe keeping for me I am sure that your good lady wife would approve of this alternative suggestion  Have you ever considered making a figure of Redvers Buller or some other well known officer? Or how about a figure from the Naval Brigade, I'm sure P.O. Tom would claim that figure. Martin. |

| Richie, There are figures almost exactly like yours for sale in Bury St Edmunds market for £3 a piece. 24th, 17th Lrs, Zulus, the lot. I will start the bidding and offer £4 for yours, it'll look good on the dashboard of my ambulance. Tasker
Seriously though, am following your progress with baited breath. A great piece of work, keep it up. |

| Hi Tasker . This may be a ridiculous request but here goes anyway ! , Is it possible you can post a photo of these 3 Pd figures ?????. I cant believe anything like Richie is putting together would sell for 3 quid , Not doubting you , but may have to fly over on the next plane to clean out that market !!!!!!!!. The ' Britains ' 54 mm figures are very expensive as well , its hard to comprehend anything like Richies being sold for 3 Quid . . cheers 90th. |

| Hi all Richie I will not post my 50 Zulu before they are painted and photographed ... For now, I'm on the layout of my catalog ... I will post my catalog in April, hopefully, even if it is not finished and you will see my first 10 figures of Swazis ... For my first Zulu, will have to wait, the catalog comes first ... j 'have a lot of text to type and I found new s "documentation" on Wood Irregulars ...I love also the Swazi warriors... I still have a hundred "Free French" to photograph and to lay out ... I'm not out of the woods, but this will advance inexorably. Pascal |

| Hi All, An update on the Lancer, it's been quite a productive week although it may not look it. Even this weekend alone I have put about 8 hours in. I have reworked a few bits I was not happy with and estimate about 10 jobs between construction from scratch, painting and afixing to final completion. Hope you enjoy the photo's and thank you all again for the encouragement and support that has helped spur me on. cheers Richie [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

I hope that your good lady doesn't mind MY 24th foot (2nd Warwickshire) regiment figure being cared for in your display cabinet  It is easy to see that you (like me) live up in the North of England, the rain on the window gives the game away   . | Hi All, Pascal - merci mon ami [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] , as for Pulleine not on my to do list, have you no thoughts of making one? 1879graves - thanks mate for the comment [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] tasker224 - thanks mate, one day he may reach that museum [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] 90th - thanks mate, that would be an awesome project to do, unfortunately I only have a R.A. Battery Sgt on my list [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The1stLt - thanks for looking in and the nice comment, hope to share more projects in the future [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Martin - thanks mate, the wife does not mind giving pride of place to these figures in the display cabinet, as long as I dust them. As for the weather it was not so long ago that was snow. Still we are a hardy bunch on the North East coast - you've got no choice. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I hope to finish this by next week and then plan my next project. I may defer that project and throw open a poll, this will be based on a list that I put up and will give you all a chance (by popular vote) to determine what figure is made next. Please let me know your thoughts. cheers Richie |

| Hi Richie Yes, you are right, the snow took ages to clear off the streets, and as for the moors, well, there were pockets of it for weeks. The winds here normally go from west to east, so we get clobbered with it when it blows in from the coast, comes over the moors, then sweeps down the valley picking up speed, then hits us with an almighty bang. As for a suggestion for your next model, I will still go along with Redvers Buller. Best regards mate. Martin. |
