Due to recent events on this forum, we have now imposed a zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. All reports will be treated seriously, and will lead to a permanent ban of both membership and IP address.
Any member blatantly corresponding in a deliberate and provoking manner will be removed from the forum as quickly as possible after the event.

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.

In speaking of the last of Isandhlwana, the corpses of all the whites have been recovered ?
Otherwise there is how many whites missing at Isandhlwana?

| That will never be known, there was just to many dead amongst the havoc of the camp to count, most of them could not be idenitifed anyway. |

| There was a chap ( Officer?) who went missing in action at Ulundi. Never seen again. Did he died or did he do a runner |

Are you thinking of the honourable William Drummond?
If so, his body was found a few weeks later, apparently he had been ambushed by some Zulu stragglers and killed.

For this, I thought of a survivor who had lost his mind after a battle which could have returned to Natal, after many wanderings and was recognized much later, after having been considered dead for months or years ...

My job get high head, I would remember my first 50 Zulu. In the evening I collapsed in a heap ... This is the loom that goes ... The future Zulu figures will be manufactured faster ...
