As you can appricate, there was not a lot of room to take Photos / Videos without standing on graves. The first video is the account of RD By John Young. The first person speaking seemed to stand behind the speaker no matter how hard i tryed to get him in the video, as you will see. Hopefully someone else may have obtained bettter footage.

ignore the descendant medals, they are just a momento we had made when we had a trip to the battlefields in 2009. Personally, I wouldn't have them on our display ,but was not involved in the manufacture of them !

I think they look very good, I woundn't mind having one if I was a descendant. Who ever thought of it, had a great idea.

Lovely memento to a very brave man, very fitting. Well done Tim, thanks for all the pictures Admin
On a slightly more tacky note Colin, if CTSG can have one of those descendant's tour medals, I'll have the other!

Thank you Pete (Admin), great pictures and vids, well done.
Glad the day went well, it looks like it kept fine (for a change).
The descendant's medallions look good, a great keepsake, they are based on the glengarry badge of the 24th (2nd Warwickshire) regiment, (see my Avatar).

Just a quick thank you to all those who contributed to the success of the Howard re-dedication, whether by contributing to the cost of the headstone, help with the planning of the ceremony or simply by turning up on the day; I also very much appreciate the support given to me by the various kind comments posted on the forum & see the success of the day as very much the result of a team effort.
Regards,
Tim
