• Date painted: c.1895
• Oil on canvas, 56 x 45 cm
• Collection: The Royal Welsh Regimental Museum Trust
The sitter was part of 2/24th Foot and a defender of Rorke's Drift 22nd/23rd January 1879. The sitter is shown as a sergeant of the 3rd Volunteer Battalion South Wales Borderers.
