We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

| "SOUTH AFRICA 1877-79, CLASP 1877-8-9 ‘COMST STOREKEEPER
W.E. KUHLMAN’
William Edward Kuhlman was appointed Commissariat Storekeeper at King’s William Town on 14th Sept 1868, he served in the campaigns against the Gaikas and the Galekas (1877-8) as well as the Zulus (1879). His Son William also joined the C&T Dept in 1885, his service papers noting he was born in King’s William Town and his next of kin William Edward Kuhlman, Commissariat Dept Cape Town. Kuhlman is noted in the book ‘ German’s in Kaffraria 1858-1958.
Only 4 Commissariat Storekeeper on roll and this the only triple date. Commissariat Storekeeper is the equivalent of an Officer rank"

| John I'm going out of my way to show people that this persons medal is still available if they may want to see it or God forbid spend some money and buy it ! . I dont see the relevance or the point of your post !
