Could he have thought Melville was a Colonel.?

Chinese whispers , these articles are always good to read , just goes to show how much of what actually went on , ISN'T or WASN'T reported as it should have been ! , similar to today I expect , much easier to embellish the truth somewhat though , back in those days ! Very Happy Shocked
