Jas. de Colquhoun and widow of 3 earl of Limerick, K.P., p.c. (d. 1896) ; served in Zulu war 1879, at Ulundi, Maj. R.A. 1891-2, ret. p. 1892, one of the exons of the King's bodyguard. of yeomen of the guard 1892-1901, adjt. and clerk of the cheque from 1901 : 40 Queen's Gate gdns. S.W. ; office, Friary court, St. James's Palace. S.W. ; Carlton and Naval and Military clubs."

" Major Sir Edmund Halbert Elliot was born posthumously on 7thNovember 1854. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edmund James Elliot and Matilda Inglis. He married Isabella Colquhoun, daughter of James Charles Henry Colquhoun, on 22nd February 1898. He died on 20 September 1926 at age 71.
He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.2 He was Ensign, Yeoman of the Guard.He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)."

Lt E.H.Elliott served with the field forces from the date of the arrival of N Battery 6th Brigade till the conclusion of the war , the Brigade , under Major Le Grice , embarked Southampton for Natal 24/2 / 79 , arriving Durban March 31st March , being present at the battle of Ulundi , the Brigade fired 68 rounds , doing considerable execution amongst the retreating enemy .
