Something to do while munching the turkey sandwiches. This huge painting of "The Lawn at Goodwood" was painted in 1886. It is at Waddesdon Manor, now a National Trust property in Buckinghamshire that was the home of the Rothschild family. In this section of the painting is an AZW VC winner. Who is it?

Good question....not got a good answer but another question -

Does the Gentlemen in grey by himself suffer from flatulence - there seems to be an exclusion zone around him?

Chap behind Ada and Sissy (in the front row) looks like JRMC in his photo......

Changed my mind.....I 'feel' I know who it is.......but I don't know where he is.....Major Buller? Possibly on the right (in the top hat)

I even tried looking at the list of sitters but I still could not find him.....its not the two I thought.....one is a Bismarck and the other the Earl of Huntingdon....there is some illustrious names amongst the sitters though.

Oh dear, I fear I have misled you. Not the VC winner, but his brother! That just makes it harder - but if you have found the list then not too bad. "Sissy", seated in the pink dress, is believed to be Lillie Langtry the mistress of "Bertie" Prince of Wales (who is just out of shot on the right) his wife of 20 years must have been delighted.
